| Couldn't get return code | ipMonitor was unable to retrieve the return code from the 3rd party software. This could be due to a monitor configuration error or an internal problem with the operating system. |
Invalid return code | The 3rd party software returned a value that did not match the one specified in the monitor configuration. This unexpected value has resulted in a failure state. |
Operating system supplied error | An Operating System error occurred that prevented the test from occuring. |
Process returned OK | The 3rd party software returned the expected return value, which resulted in a successful state. |
Process took too long to complete | The 3rd party software did not finish its cycle within the maximum allowable time. ipMonitor has attempted to halt the process. |
| Failed to analyze file | ipMonitor was unable to find the specified file. This could be due to a monitor configuration error such as incorrect path or filename. |
File has changed | The file size has changed since the last verification. This message will also occur for a newly configured monitor. |
File has not changed | The file size has not changed since the last verification. |
File is empty | The file is 0 bytes in size or has been deleted. This state is normally ignored unless the "Trigger on Zero" option is enabled. |

Server failed to clean inbox | After ipMonitor "deletes" a test message, it attempts to remove it from the mailbox, requiring all messages flagged as deleted to be removed. The IMAP4 server rejected the "expunge" request. |
Server failed to delete msg | Once the test message is found, a deletion is attempted. In this case, the server has disallowed message deletion. |

Wrong compare method for value | The value retrieved cannot be verified with the type of comparison selected. This behavior is normally present when a Numeric Comparison" method has been selected and a text value is received, or vice-versa. |

Specified column is invalid | The column specified in the monitor's Examine Row Content" field does not exist in the SQL database. If the column specified was a number, the number of columns returned by the server is less than this number. |
