Add Profile

In order for an Alert to take place on behalf of a monitor, first a Profile must be added and an Alert configured.

Select the "Add Profile" button to start the Add Profile Wizard. You will be required to provide the following information.

Profile Name:

Profile Name is displayed on the " Profile Configuration" page. Names cannot be greater than 63 characters. Only alphabetical and numeric characters are valid.
Select Monitor(s):
All configured Groups are listed and every Monitor within each Group is listed. Individual Monitors can be selected or the entire Group can be selected depending on the purpose of the Profile. There are two ways to select Monitors.

Exclude Selected Monitors: If selected, ALL unchecked Monitors will be assigned to this Profile. Check any Monitors that this Profile will Not Alert.

Include Selected Monitors: If selected, ALL checked Monitors will be assigned to this Profile. Any unchecked Monitors will Not Alert.

WARNING, if the "Global (All Monitors)" group is "Disallowed" the Profile and all Alerts configured within it will be disabled. This happens because the Global Group contains every Monitor configured in ipMonitor.
