< BackIndexNext >

Before monitoring a resource on your network first a Monitor must be added, then configured. Select the "Add Monitor" button to start the Add Monitor Wizard. You will be required to provide the following information.
  1. Input a short description of the resource you want to monitor.
  2. Select the group this monitor should be a member of.
  3. Select the type of the monitor which best monitors the resource.
Once the Monitor is added, the "Edit Monitor Wizard" will take over and request configuration parameters for the Monitor.

More than 30 different monitors are provided in ipMonitor to test network resources including a generic (TELNET) monitor that can be used to watch any TCP/IP based application not directly supported by ipMonitor.
