Add a Job
< BackIndexNext >

In order for ipMonitor to perform a Job, one must be created.Select the "Add Job" button from the list of Jobs to start the "Add Jobs Wizard". You will be required to provide the following information:
  1. Input a short description for the Job you wish to create.
  2. Select the time that the Job will start.
  3. Select the Recurrence Mode for the Job. This will establish when the Job will run next.
  4. Select the Recurrence Adjustment to further configure your Job scheduling.

Each Job keeps track of its last occurrence. If the schedule is reset this information is used as a factor in determining when the job will occur next. The schedule may be reset to run at the next available time or reset to run according to every [x] days.

Note: When configuring a Job to run monthly keep in mind that if the calendar day that is selected does not occur in that month, the Job will not be executed. For example, if the Job is scheduled to run on the 30th of every month February will be skipped.

Reset schedule to run at the next available time
By selecting this option, ipMonitor resets the internal schedule for the Job and will run it at the next available time according to the Recurrence Adjustments. For example, if you have a Job that is being performed every three weeks on Sunday but you want to reset that schedule pattern, ipMonitor will run the Job on the next Sunday.

Reset schedule to run according to the Every [x] Days/Weeks/Months
By selecting this option, ipMonitor resets the internal schedule for the Job to run starting at the defined time interval in the Recurrence Adjustment. This allows you to run a Job at a larger time interval than a single day, week or month.

Recurrence Adjustment
This allows you to specify exactly how often and when the Job is to be run. For example, you may only want the Job to run every weekday but not on the weekend.
