Access to ipMonitor via Web Browsers is secured with an Account Name and Password combination. This is not an NT Account, rather it is an account internal to ipMonitor. When a Web Browser first connects, it is challenged by ipMonitor and must respond with an Account Name and Password. The initial challenge/response required to logon determines what ipMonitor pages the user can access.
Every user session operates under an ipMonitor account which defines what pages they can access and what help they can read.
Each individual account has its own list of abilities that you can turn off and on at any time. Administrator accounts are the exception, they have full access to all ipMonitor abilities.
When no account information is provided, the session operates under the "Public Account". Settings that control what level of access the Public Account is given may be changed using the ipMonitor Configuration program.
Additional information regarding ipMonitor security is available located under the topic titled "ipMonitor Security".
